SoloAzar shares statements by participants of the panel.

Before the conference, AMIG organized a breakfast for women, with the aim to strengthen ties, share time and join forces to occupy ingreasingly important spaces in the gaming industry.

Speakers of the conference were:

Ana Pamplona, Lawyer, Beck Advogados Associados

Bárbara Teles, Lawyer, Rei do Pitaco

Luciana Hendrich, Partner, Hendrich Digital Content

Natalia Nogues, Co-Founder, Control F5

The Brazilian gambling industry has been growing a lot in the last few years and it is now becoming formalized. Legalization is happening and there are increased opportunities for women.

In this situation, Luciana Hendrich said that “In this global and Brazilian scenario it is now focusing on finding legal security for the new developing market, and we focus on having a fairer and more responsible industry.”

“We also want to talk about the equality, not only inside companies between males and females, but we also want to see more female leaders speaking in panels. We also deserve to be in these positions that are not currently occupied by women,” she added.

In the International Women’s Month, Luciana said: “Equality is what we want. Many men have been asking me if we want to work with women only and if we want to exclude and leave out men. Of course not. We really want to work together. But not every woman is able to speak in public in a male dominated world, so these women need support to be able to do that, and also in terms of capacity building networking. Women were unaware that they could work in this market.”

“Our intention is that women reach the different sectors in this industry, that they get trained and then get transition to other positions. It was just me when I arrived but then I was joined by many other women, and 98% of the referrals were men, because there were no other women”, she pointed, and cleared: “Our aim is not to exclude men, but to work together.

The panel agreed that women need support and a more equalitarian market. The need to build a network so that companies can attract professional women to the market and let them grow within the companies and train them was also discussed. Also about the usefulness of workshops, debates and seminars to obtain this type of information exchange to achieve this.

“The idea is that we want to have this communion and our main goal is to have women in our industry.  We are ready to receive our associates. We are going to schedule meetings in the work room, so you can join us and work together. We also want men to support us and the companies as well,” she concluded.
